# Public venue degraded

1. Open `/api/market/health`. Record the venue state, typed last error, status code, consecutive failures and circuit deadline; do not record endpoint query strings or response bodies.
2. Confirm `/api/health` remains `ok`, execution remains disabled and the affected terminal panels show unavailable/degraded state rather than cached values presented as live.
3. For `*_HTTP_429`, stop manual refresh loops and respect the upstream recovery window. Do not increase NIGHTSHIFT limits above the provider contract.
4. For `*_RESPONSE_TOO_LARGE` or `*_INVALID_JSON`, treat this as schema/contract drift. Preserve a separately redacted sample only in operator-controlled incident storage.
5. For `*_TIMEOUT`, `*_NETWORK_ERROR` or `*_HTTP_5xx`, let the cooldown expire. The runtime permits one half-open probe and rejects competing probes.
6. Confirm a successful official-origin read changes the venue to `healthy`, clears consecutive failures and closes the circuit.
7. Repeated failures require an upstream incident review. Never redirect the configured public URL to an unreviewed proxy or disable byte/concurrency bounds to restore a green badge.
